RATES & SESSION INFO

Appointment bookings are limited to a maximum of four sessions per day. Two in the morning and two in the afternoon.  It’s a private studio, so there’s only a couple of people in the studio all day long, which means you wont feel like you’re in a fishbowl being looked at by other people while you get your headshot taken, and there will be no distractions.

I don’t limit our time for your session and I don’t book anyone immediately after you, so you get all the time we need for our shoot. We will let your level of comfort determine our pace. I’m not going to drag your session out any longer than necessary (I respect your time), but we also don’t need to rush your headshot session because somebody else is booked immediately after you. Each person gets the amount of time and attention they deserve in order to get headshots that fit their needs. As important as the lighting, posing, & composition of the shot is, I have enough experience to get those things right in a few minutes. The part of the session that takes the most time, and is the most essential ingredient, is getting your expression to convey the messaging you want. It's much more imperative for me to produce quality images that we can both be proud of, and that you get value from, than to shoot a bunch of people in one day. 

Quality isn’t an accident, we will create it during our time together. 

I don’t want you leaving your headshot session with a headshot that isn't what you wanted because we've only got a few minutes left and we're rushing to get through. It takes a little time to get the right expressions, and that's because getting your headshot taken can make people feel uncomfortable. I understand that.  The expression we want is relaxed and competent. It might only take a few minutes, which is great, or it might take a little longer to get there, but that's fine too….we don’t have any reason to rush. Whichever the case is for you, we'll still have plenty of time to do all the outfit changes you’d like to do.

As the session advances, I'll be guiding you through everything you need to know, expression, angles, positioning, hair, so you don’t need to worry about any of this. The goal of the session is to get you great shots, and I'll spend as long as is needed in order to get them. In addition to looking relaxed & competent in your headshot, you need to project confidence and approachability. We want you to look like you can handle any situation that potential clients/employers will be hiring you to manage. If you don't look like that, then your headshot isn’t helping to convey the right message. It's all about the subconscious, and the first impression people feel when they see your headshot.  We’ll get you to this perfect level of confidence and approachability by having some fun with it.

A couple of times throughout the session, we'll stop and look at some of the images we've taken, so you can see what your shots are looking like, and if there's anything you want to change, this is when we’ll do it.

To end your session, we’ll sit down together to review all of the images we shot. From there, you'll pick your favorite shots to be professionally edited and retouched, I'll give as much or as little input as you like on what the best shots are, sometimes it’s nice to have an opinion other than your own in regards to what you look like. In addition to the high resolution JPEGs, I also make sure you receive the same shots, custom sized and cropped for LinkedIn and Facebook. Your headshots will be ready for any application you decide to use them for.
